I discovered the wonderful world of blogging shortly after beginning to research adoption. Especially during my wait to travel I was absolutely addicted to reading blogs online. I followed many, but found great comfort in reading the words of other families who were in a similar situation as I was and were at the same stage (or close to it) in their adoption process as I was. Now that Ella’s home I have had to cut back on my blog reading due to lack of time, but there are still some that I love to check in on and read what’s going on in their lives. Here are some of my favorites:

Persimmon and Pink – This family just recently got back from Viet Nam with their little girl, Gem. This new mommy blogger is so honest and open about her experiences that she makes the reader feel like an old friend.

Mrs. Broccoli Guy – Mrs. Broccoli guy always gets my mind moving and gets me to think even when I may not want to ;) Her writing style is fresh and current and I love to check in on her and her family. And her “Super Dog” video made me crack up during our wait to travel :)

Journey to Find Our Vietnamese Princess – I’ve been reading this blog for a long time now and always love their posts. This family is awaiting their referral and hopefully it will come soon!

Just Enjoy Him – Judy, mom to Nate from Viet Nam is the kind of blogger that makes you think while making you feel all warm and welcomed. I love her writing style and she covers topics surrounding Viet Nam adoptions (and adoption in general) that are close to my heart.

Our Little Miss Magic – This is our blog that I created to keep family and friends in the loop while we were in Viet Nam. I haven’t updated it in a very long time, but it may help some families waiting to travel get a little Viet Nam fix.

Oh, thanks so much for the shout-out, Rebecca! And here I was just wondering if I was making any impact/difference at all. :)
