I feel like I haven’t written a whole lot about Ella lately, so today’s Love Thursday post is all about my no longer a baby, little girl. She truly seems to have grown up in an instant and I am thrilled to have this sweet little toddler as my partner in crime for the day to day running around that we have to do. At 19 months old she has such a personality and I really love spending every day with her. So forgive me if this sounds like a lot of bragging, but I am so proud of her!

Having our social worker over for our home study update and hearing her praise Ella's development made me realize that I haven't shared much about that lately. Her language is developing so rapidly and has peaked (in my opinion) this week with her new favorite word: Mommy!!! She enunciates each syllable perfectly and likes to repeat my new name over and over until I’m just one big puddle on the floor. She’s been saying Daddy for awhile, so I am thrilled that I’ve graduated into Mommyhood. She’s been putting together small sentences and repeating just about any and everything that she hears. We have all quickly become aware of any words that might have been uttered that we wouldn’t want her to repeat and are being very careful of what falls on her perked up little ears.

It all seemed to have happened overnight, but Ella can count to seven! I don’t know why seven, but seven it is. And it’s the cutest thing ever, I wish I could share it with all of you! She also gets a kick out of identifying numbers. We were in the shoe aisle in a store last week and she would point to the sizes on the shoeboxes and tell me what the numbers were, and she was correct just about every time!

Ella is very into building towers with her blocks, drawing and running lately. She loves to have her grandma say “Ready, set…” and Ella says “Go!” and runs laps around the house and up and down the street outside for what seems like an endless period of time.

With all of these wonderful achievements comes a lot of limit testing, a lot of “No’s” out of her mouth and more meltdowns too. It’s just all one big package and I’m astounded as I watch her grow and figure out everything that’s handed to her. Thanks for letting me gush a little! :)
