Many people feel compelled to help those less fortunate. Even more people feel compelled to help children. When those philanthropic people have actually been to a third world country and saw first hand what the living conditions are like, there can be an even stronger desire to help.

Here are some charities that benefit the less fortunate in Viet Nam.

Asian Children Viet Nam Humanitarian Services Corp.:
ACS is our agency and we are completely in love with and impressed by their work on behalf of the people of Viet Nam. They are currently working on a registration project for the boat people in Thai Binh along with projects to help the elderly.

Disclaimer: Please, before donating time, material or money to any organization, do some research to ensure that your contributions will be used properly. After you have contacted the charity of your choice and received information from them, check the Better Business Bureau, ask around on different listservs and forums, and do some internet research.
