If you haven’t been over to the Anti Racist Parent blog yet, you really need to check it out. I learned about it recently and am inspired every time I read something new there. It is geared specifically towards parents who want to raise their children with an anti racist point of view. Transracial adoptive parents are very much included and many topics that appeal to us are covered.

The columnists at this blog provide such thought provoking ideas and information that you’ll be hard pressed to leave the site without something new to ponder. Perhaps you share their opinions, perhaps you disagree, and Anti Racist Parent encourages us all to comment on their work to share our voices. Next time you’re looking for a new book to read, check out their suggestions. Next time you’re not sure how to handle a racially charged school situation with your child, check out this blog.

They also have a regular feature called “Gratuitous Cute Kid Pics” that is too adorable and lets us see other kiddos whose parents are like minded and are trying to raise an anti racist child. Anti Racist Parent also helps keep us up to date by advertising weekly podcasts (web based audio episodes) that address issues concerning race in America. The site is easily organized and you can click on any tag that may interest you that day and read all about it.

I feel at home on this blog site and encourage others to check it out. It’s through information and the support of others who share the same anti racist beliefs that we can all learn and move forward and educate our children. Transracial adoptive families will find much food for thought on this blog and I hope you’ll all support their work by heading over their to read some articles right now.
