There are a handful of print magazines published just for adoptive families, but online options are also increasing in popularity. Two of the three listed below are free, and one charges a yearly subscription fee to read the digital version of their print magazine. The best thing about these online magazines is that you can put them in your favorites or save the email message that it comes in and read whenever you have the time. They’re a great way to stay connected and up to date with the adoption community.

Oh man, am I ever a sucker for adoption videos. With You Tube at my fingertips I can sob and laugh right along with families as they experience meeting their child for the first time. I don’t always have the emotional capacity to do this, but last night I was up into the ridiculously wee hours of the morning watching others’ adoption videos and working on Ella’s.
Ella’s video has been a work in progress. I am so extremely glad that we were able to film those first moments with her. The scenery on... more

My name is Rebecca and I am a blog-oholic. I absolutely love blogs. As I wrote about before, my absolute addiction began while waiting for Ella’s travel date. I’m pretty internet savvy, but didn’t really realize the wild world of blogs until around the time that we started getting seriously into our adoption process. The blogs that I followed were cathartic, helping me through the roller coaster of emotions that adoption brings. Reading about families who had already come home with their children, and above all else, seeing their gorgeous little faces, helped me realize what lay in store for me. Little do... more

Did you all know that we have our very own Viet Nam adoption forum on the adoption.com website? If you haven’t made your way over there yet, I would encourage you to do so. Feel free to lurk, post, ask questions and daydream as you read about other family’s Viet Nam adoption experiences.
I have long been a huge advocate of online forums, and this one (due to its Viet Nam focus) is of special interest to me. Forums provide prospective adoptive parents (PAPs) and adoptive parents alike a place... more

Who among us isn't a sucker for anything related to Viet Nam? Before I traveled to adopt Ella, I was hungry for anything that would help me feel a little bit closer to my little girl on the other side of the world. Now that we’re home and I’m almost always feeling nostalgic for Viet Nam, I love looking at books and items that take me back. I’m also always on the lookout for things to share with Ella to help her learn about and feel a connection to her birth country and to understand more about adoption.
